While Nestor was free from more experiments at the hand of PT7, he could never truly be rid of him. It helped that Flamenco, the child in question, looked much more human than alien. Nestor was able to escape and raise the child as human as possible. It was where he had kept Nestor, their grandfather PT7 impregnated, when he was experimenting on him. Instead of going to work, however, Dina called in. The next day, Dina told Nina she was headed to work, when she quickly left the house. It had been a quiet year, and for the first time in a long time, Bella was completely content with that. Bella went along with it, not wanting to risk saying anything suspicious.
He had made comments here and there, though, wondering why they never got together with Don and Nina anymore, hypothesizing that they were busier with work. The only time she would hear of Don was when Mortimer would mention seeing him, and when he did he never gave off the impression that he knew something had been going on between the two. Don made sure to avoid Bella, and especially made sure to avoid the two of them together. Anytime he and Mortimer saw one another and made small talk, he didn’t mention Bella. He wouldn’t speak to her anymore, but thankfully for Bella, he kept his word. Initially, she felt a lot of guilt for leading Don on. She wanted excitement, but instead dug herself into a hole. She was afraid of the backlash she would receive, afraid that he wouldn’t understand why she did what she did. She vowed to never tell him of her affair with Don. Her sweet Alexander became a toddler, her relationship with her teen, Cassandra, was better than ever, and she was back to being fully committed to Mortimer. The next year of Bella’s life was incredible.
